- Many ways to configure
MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast works in point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configurations. Just plug in as many receivers as you need at your remote screens. The included switch supports up to nine receivers with one transmitter.
- Multicast video to screens in a video wall setup
Assign source video to any screen in a video wall. The MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast system supports customizable monitor array sizes for any video wall setup or application. Configure a wall for multiple rows and columns. You just need one transmitter and up to 64 receivers for an 8 x 8 wall. Each receiver scales and outputs the correct part of the picture for its video wall display.
- All-inclusive networked signage system
This kit combines everything you need to get started with a networked signage system. The network switch, PoE+ Gigabit Managed Switch Eco, 10-port, offers the following features that make it a perfect fit within the MediaCento configuration: full SNMP management plus Web-based management, support for VLAN and QoS, and support for IEEE 802.3af PoE port-based network access control.
- Plug-and-play setup
There’s no need to configure any IP settings (although more experienced users can do that if needed). Simply use rotary switches to set the transmitter and receivers to the same multicast channel and all IP multicasting settings are automatically configured; then just connect your source, your display(s), and the network switch. It’s ready to go!
- Signals that go for miles
The extender transmits up to 330 feet (100 m) per link, but goes up to 660 feet (200 m) with the network switch in the middle, between the transmitter and the receiver. You can even use fiber with media converters to go several miles if needed. Its signal is completely digital from end to end, so your digital content is never compromised.
- PoE support for remote powering
The MediaCento IPX PoE series can be powered using standard PoE network technology. The PoE network switch included in the kit completely eliminates the need for external power supplies, making the installation even easier. Say goodbye to bulky power supplies.
- Lossless compression for HD extension
MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast features IGMP support and packetizes signals so all your HD source content can be delivered anywhere you want over Ethernet wiring. The units transmit broadcast-quality video and audio, and support Full 1080p resolution no matter what the distance or the number of screens, as well as all common PC resolutions (XGA, SXGA, UXGA, WSXGA) up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz.
- Supports serial connections to switch screens on/off
MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast supports RS-232 for configuration and control, and for extending bidirectional control signals. Use this serial link to switch a screen on or off.
- Optimal PC-to-screen performance
MediaCento IPX PoE Multicast features EDID copy function and is HDCP-compliant and Blu-ray ready.
