ATEM Mini Extreme & Extreme ISO 8 input Switcher

Grant said they wanted to see how far they could push the ATEM Mini, and here are some of the highlights:

• 8 inputs, all autoscaling and syncing
• 2 USB Connections, 2 HDMI Outputs
• The Headphones are now on their own bus
• 6 macro buttons on the from
• 2 DVE’s, so you can do 2-Up views plus a foreground and a background
• ‘Select Bus’ – so you can quickly change sources to the DVE’s
• Camera Control buttons right on the front panel
• 2 New Multiviewers that can show up to 16 sources each
• 2 Media Players
• SuperSource – 4 DVE’s in a multi-layer compositing unit, plus background and foreground
• 4 Advanced Keyers – completely independent

Firmware for ATEM switchers with great new features

Current owners of the ATEM Mini Pro and ATEM Mini Pro ISO are also getting a new feature for their switchers in the form of a firmware update. The update is already available for download from Blackmagic Design here.

ATEM Software Update 8.6 adds the ability to stream from the Mini Pro and Mini Pro ISO via USB tethering with any Android or iOS device with 4G or 5G service. This is a great new feature for anyone streaming from locations without reliable internet service.

Web Presenter massively updated and now full HD

Pocket Cinema 6K Pro

Not only did Blackmagic Design drop a bunch of new streaming and switching capabilities on us, they also announced a new addition to their Pocket Cinema Camera line up with the Pocket Cinema Camera 6k Pro. Here are some of the highlights for the new camera.

• Uses larger, longer lasting NP-F570 style batteries
• The rear LCD screen now tilts up and down
• Has built-in 2/4/6 stop ND filters
• Has 2 mini-XLR inputs
• Generation 5 color science
• Has an optional OLED EVF that can be added
