SHAPE Baseplate with 15mm Rods for Sony PXW-FS5 and FS5M2
The Shape Baseplate comes with rubber pads at the top so that the Sony FS5 camera doesn’t sit directly on the aluminum. The baseplate fits 15mm standard rods and the rods are secured with a red ratchet knob screw. The baseplate includes a set of 15mm 10″ rods. It is ideal for drone and gimbal application, and it’s designed with a lightweight system for mounting any standard 15 mm accessories.
Mount your Sony PXW-FS5 or PXW-FS5M2 camera on a tripod or shoulder rig using this Baseplate with 15mm Rods from SHAPE. The baseplate kit includes a baseplate for the Sony PXW-FS5 or PXW-FS5M2 and two 15mm rods that measure 10″ in length.
The durable baseplate features 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads on the bottom for mounting on a tripod or rig, and the plate features 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 captive camera mounting screws for securing your camera to the baseplate. Rubber pads on the top of the camera plate prevent your camera from scratches, as well as preventing twisting.
Multiple 1/4″-20 threads on the side of the baseplate allow you to mount additional accessories, and two threads on the front can be used to install a separately available lens support bracket. Also featured is a 15mm rod block to mount your camera onto a 15mm LWS rod system. The two 10″ 15mm rods are secured in the block with locking levers.
