The PLAY features an easy, intuitive interface that resembles most popular media players. It is compatible with NDI 5 functionality and supports all the features of NDI, NDI|HX2, NDI Remote, and NDI Bridge to seamlessly detect all the NDI video streams on your network. Built-in CEC support allows you to use a variety of CEC remote controllers you may already have to control the video player features of the box. You can also utilize an API for custom programming with numerous APIs such as RESTful API, Crestron control module, Zoom API, Q-SYS API, among others.

The PLAY 4K NDI Player has a compact footprint that measures only 3.3″ square and can sit anywhere in your environment by mounting it on your desktop with its rubberized base ring or by using its magnetic base. It is powered via the USB Type-C input that can accommodate a separately available 5V power source or adapter.

The USB Type-C port allows you to connect any USB video source such as a webcam or computer to the Web Presenter 4K. It’s capable of broadcasting 4K video and audio on any webcam-compatible platform and software such as Skype, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch, Periscope, Teams, and more on Mac, Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS systems. It supports the H.264 codec and streams via RTMP and can stream in resolutions up to UHD 4K.

The SDI and HDMI monitor ports provide detailed status information on your feed, so you can monitor whether you are ON AIR as well as input status such as bit depth and stream quality, embedded audio input status, video and audio history, trend graphs, and video and audio meters. You can also see basic status information on the bright LCD screen on the front of the Web Presenter 4K. There is also an SDI loop output for monitoring the original feed and sending it to a switcher or router.

The compact form factor of the allows you to fit it right into your broadcast setup, and it is compatible with optional rack shelves, in case you want to install it in a 1 RU rack. Its dual AC/DC redundant power input is handy, in case you lose mains power, and you can utilize the 4-pin XLR input for DC power. The Web Presenter 4K is also compatible with the Blackmagic ATEM Streaming Bridge to decode the streams back into HDMI or SDI signals for additional routing options.

The Datavideo NVS-34 H.264 Dual Streaming Encoder lets you stream to two platforms, record to an SD card, or stream and record simultaneously, in different bitrates in each scenario. It also supports vertical video streaming with rotate and crop functions for social media. Various streaming protocols are supported (see below), and NTFS/FAT32/exFAT recording allows you to record in MP4/TS formats without file size limitations.

The system features SDI, HDMI, and analog RCA unbalanced audio inputs and an RJ45 network interface. Simple front-panel buttons let you choose the input, bitrate, and streaming/recording options.
