PTZ Cameras by Canon: The New CR-N300 & CR-N500

The N300 and N500 are Canon’s latest pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) cameras, featuring exceptional image quality and designed to fit in with a variety of productions and applications. These cameras offer a remote 4K production package for all situations, bringing smooth pan and tilt functionality along with exceptional image quality to indoor and outdoor applications.

PTZ cameras differ from camcorders in their remote resources, including control via IP, RS-422 serial, IR, or Wi-Fi. They also include HDMI, 3G-SDI, and USB Type-C video outputs.

The N300 and N500 PTZ cameras are compatible with the Canon RC-IP100 remote controller. They can perform smooth and precise pan, tilt, and zoom movements with a speed range of 0.2° to 300° per second. Mic-level audio can be input via 3.5mm mini-jack and embedded in the HDMI, SDI, or USB outputs, or in your RTP/RTMP/RTSP multi-stream. Additionally, the USB port allows these cameras to be used as a webcam. Using UVC control data, you can control the camera using Canon’s camera control software.

Canon N300

The N300 is equipped with both 20x optical and digital zoom, 1/2.3″ dual-pixel CMOS sensor, Hybrid Auto Focus, the Canon DIG!C DV6 image processor, numerous IP streaming and control protocols, microphone input, and video capture and output up to UHD 4K.

The N300 also includes NDI | HX support without requiring a separate license, allowing you to drop the camera into your existing NDI network with minimal configuration.

Canon N500

For high-end field or studio productions that may benefit from remotely-controlled cameras and minimal operating crew, the CR-N500 4K NDI PTZ Camera is the right choice.

The N500 is more accurate than traditional PTZ cameras. It features a 1″ dual-pixel CMOS sensor, the Canon DIG!C DV6 image processor, scene modes, face-tracking, 15x zoom, 20x digital zoom, dual XLR / 3.5mm microphone input, and video recording up to UHD 4K.
