Best Buy
“It’s been a huge hit. Everyone that has come down here loves the space. They love the video wall.” – Matt Holz, Producer for Best Buy’s Yellow Tag Productions

Problem
Best Buy is Minnesota’s 3rd largest company, and has over a thousand stores across the United States. They needed a better way to train their 85,000 employees on new products, policies, and procedures. When they were building a new studio space in the bustling Bloomington headquarters, they were looking for a modern, sleek way to showcase branding elements for their company and vendors alike.

Solution
After considering a step-and-repeat backdrop, Best Buy decided a video wall would be best suited for their needs. Z Systems installed a 16’ x 9’ Mirackle video wall on a hanging pole. This allowed for a quick and easy installation, with easy access for troubleshooting down the line. The video wall floats in front of the back wall and is commonly used to display various logos, branding elements, and backdrops. It is controlled via a tablet connected to a Brightsign media player. This allows for anyone to tap a button and present a new backdrop with the touch of a button. Utilizing BrightAuthor’s cloud technology, a graphic designer in Florida can create content and load it into the video wall’s presets.

"They were almost complete with the video wall in one day."

Aftermath
Since the quick install, Best Buy has been putting this video wall to the test and has had no problems with it. They have used it consistently for internal marketing and communication videos. They even had a travelling road show visit and demo their products. Production staff could effortlessly swap between company graphics on the video wall for their presentation. This made for an easy and quick post-production process.
